چکیده
Background: Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) is an effective and safe procedure for severe stenosis. Increased root angulation important anatomical feature that may cause technical difficulties negatively affect immediate long-term outcomes. Objective: To evaluate outcomes of TAVI in patients with increased angulation. Methods: Our retrospective single-center study included 412 stenosis who underwent using self-expanding bioprostheses from 2015 to 2022. Patients ≥ 49° were group 1 (n = 200), those < comprised 2 212).Results: The mean age the was 75.2 ± 7.2 years. In a subgroup first-generation CoreValve prosthesis angle, we observed moderate regurgitation significantly more often (7.4% vs 0.0%, P .010) success less (90.1% 98.9%, compared similar angle. subgroups Evolute R ACURATE neo prostheses, there no significant differences terms mentioned parameters. Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) in patients with aortic regurgitation.
Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) has become the standard of care for elderly high-risk patients presenting severe and symptomatic aortic valve stenosis, while surgical aortic valve replacement (sAVR) is still considered as the treatment of choice for younger patients and patients with low and intermediate risk profiles (1,2). With more than 100,000 implants worldwide, TAVI has cha...

BACKGROUND/AIMS Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) has emerged as a new therapeutic option for high-risk patients. However, dialysis patients were excluded from all previous studies. The aim of this study is to compare the outcomes of TAVI for dialysis patients with those for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) stages 3 and 4 and to compare TAVI with open surgery in dialysis ...

A 97-year-old man was referred for assessment to our transcather aortic valve implantation (TAVI) team. He had suffered multiple hospitalizations for heart failure with a signifi cantly elevated BNP at 1830 pg/mL. At the time of assessment, he had grade IV New York Heart Association (NYHA) symptoms. Until recently, he had been working actively, but this had subsequently been severely limited by...

Calcific aortic stenosis (AS) is the most common form of degenerative heart valve disease in developed countries. AS predominantly affects the elderly with a prevalence of 4% in people over the age of 80 years. With increasing longevity and an ageing population the absolute number of people afflicted with AS is set to rise. The clinical course of the disease is insidious at first (Ross & Braunw...

Transcatheter aortic valve implantation was developed to offer a therapeutic solution to patients with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis who are not candidates for conventional aortic valve replacement. The improvement in transcatheter aortic valve implantation outcomes is still of concern in the areas of stroke, vascular injury, heart block, paravalvular regurgitation and valve durability. Co...
